The Exhibit: 20 January 2016 thru 16 April 2016.

Please let Lynn know if you plan to attend the Opening Reception and where you will be staying. Please arrive at the Museum that evening between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
The artwork(s) you submit should be those that appeared in the 2015 ICM or IMP books or similar if the exact piece(s) is not available. Each artist is limited to a maximum of 8 works. Despina and Thomas Tunberg are the curators of these exhibitions, so if the works in the book are not available, they will select others.
Paintings: cannot be larger than 48” x 48” (121cm x 121cm).
Photographs framed cannot be larger than 32” by 40” (81.28cm x 101.6cm). If you wish to submit sculpture, please contact the Museum.
Art must be properly labeled on the back of each work including the artist’s name, title of work, medium and selling price in U.S. Dollars. All work must be prepared for hanging and suitably framed or otherwise presentable for exhibit. For photography we STRONGLY recommend that you use PLEXIGLAS so shipping damages don’t occur and cause a possible delay in hanging your art.
A donation per piece – (U.S. Dollars,) Maximum of eight (8) works:
one work – $175, two works – $300, three works – $400, four works – $450, five works – $500, six works – $550, seven works – $600, eight works – $650. Note: a diptych is considered 2 works, a triptych is considered 3 works.
Your donation is used to support the Museum’s operating expenses related to this and other exhibitions. Donations must be received prior to shipping your art.
Payment deadline for this show is 15 December 2015. If using a Check/Money Order, it should be payable to Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art.
Our preferred method of payment is PayPal; however, payment by Credit/Debit Card, Check (on a US bank), Travelers Check, Money Order, or Cash is acceptable. If you intend to pay by credit card or debit card, we discourage payment by email. We ask that you make a credit/debit payment in person, by phone, mail or you can use your card through PayPal even if you do not have a PayPal account (see details in the following paragraph). If payment is made by phone or mail, your card information is destroyed immediately following the ring- up. Please DO NOT send cash through the mail! All forms of payment must be in US Dollars. If you are paying for someone other than yourself, please identify the artist.
A PayPal account has been set up for all SNMFA exhibits. It is located at the top of this page.
If you want to pay by credit/debit card through PayPal without a PayPal account click on our website “PayPal” button at the top of the page. Next select “Don’t have a PayPal account”. On the next screen under “Pay with a debit or credit card” section fill in the required information concerning your credit/debit card purchase. In the box under the “Your Order Summary” column enter the total amount of the donation you owe (ie: 5 pieces = $500, 7 pieces = $600, etc.) The screen will continue to show “Quantity of 1” but this doesn’t matter as long as the total amount of your donation is correct. Click “Pay” to finalize the transaction. You will not be charged any fees for this transaction. Fees will accrue to the Museum.
If you have a PayPal account just click on the same “PayPal” button above but select the “Pay with my PayPal” Account option and follow the instructions.

A word about customs: Original works of art are duty free in the United States. Art is NOT duty free or VAT free in many other countries. This must be considered upon shipment, because if / when the items come back to you, your country MAY assess VAT or Duty fees upon the return shipment if you have not taken the proper steps to pre-register your shipment with your customs office prior to original US export, or obtaining VAT relief using your assigned VAT registration number.
REGARDLESS OF YOUR CARRIER CHOICE, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE THE PROPER STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR SHIPMENT WITH YOUR LOCAL CUSTOMS OFFICE PRIOR TO THE ORIGINAL U.S. EXPORTATION IN ORDER TO AVOID VAT OR DUTY IF THE ITEMS ARE TO BE RETURNED TO YOU. THIS CANNOT BE DONE AFTER THE ITEMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SHIPPED TO THE U.S. IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER YOUR ITEMS PRIOR TO LEAVING YOUR COUNTRY, AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE EXHIBITION & RE-SHIPMENT BACK TO YOU, YOUR ITEMS WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE PREVAILING RATE OF DUTY OR VAT TAXES.
You will be responsible to prepare the commercial invoice and pre-register the shipment with your local customs prior to initial export.
Be SURE to identify yourself as a participant in the SNMFA ICM / IMP Exhibition 2016. If you have any specific transport related questions, contact the Museum.
Sale of Art Work:
The Museum can make arrangements for the sale of your art to interested collectors and Museum visitors. All sales must go through the Museum Gift Store in US Dollars. A 40% commission on all sales will be collected by the Museum. Artwork must remain on display until the exhibition is over. Artists will receive the 60% balance 30 days after the close of the exhibition.
List: Title, Medium, Dimensions and sale price below.
Please ensure that the same information is on the back of each work.
RETURN OF ART WORK
All paperwork such as return labels, customs forms, insurance, invoices, and shipping charges, must originate with the artist. All paperwork is to be sent to email@example.com. The Museum will repack your art work using your original packing material, prepare the package for return, and contact your courier to set a pickup date/time. You will be contacted when the package has been picked up at the Museum. Please do not schedule the pickup!
If the Museum is charged for any shipping or customs expenses, we will bill the artist along with handling charges. Certain freight carriers provide more reasonable insurance rates for items listed as Exhibition Materials instead of Art Work.
NOTE: Storage Fees; Art work will be held for sixty (60) days beyond the closing of the Exhibition.
Beginning 22 June 2016, a forty dollar ($40 U.S.) monthly storage fee per package will be assessed if there is no response to Museum emails regarding the return of your art work.
